Cycling enthusiasts can follow the greenway along the Nivernais Canal from Auxerre and cross villages and amazing landscapes along the road.

Eco-walks
As part of the Cit’ergie initiative, the City of Auxerre has created 3 itineraries that showcase the city’s natural heritage. These circuits are accompanied by a mobile application that guides walkers and encourages them to discover biodiversity in an entertaining way. Each species has a card that gives details of its main characteristics. The application also allows you to locate different points of interest throughout each walk.
- Between two banks: about 8 km, 2h 30 minutes – 3 hours .
- The neighbourhoods EnVERT: about 6 km, 1h 30 minutes.
- EnVERT and buttress: about 4 km, 1 hour.
Markup and brochures
For the moment, the Ecobalade “Entre deux rives” is fully marked to allow walkers to find their way with or without a mobile application.A starting sign is installed at the Parc of l’Arbre Sec.Brochures are also available at the Tourist Office and in the various places of tourist interest for each walk.

La Maison des Randonneurs (The Hikers’ House)
La Maison des Randonneurs is a stop-over gite in Auxerre set in green surroundings close to the city centre, allowing you to hike or bike in the area. That’s how to combine usefulness with pleasure! All you have to do is jump into your walking shoes and off we go !
And if you want to extend your stay, La Maison des Randonneurs will provide all the necessary services whether you are a confirmed hiker or not!
